WELCOME TO FIRESIDE KIDS!
Our church is passionate about creating a fun and safe environment where kids love to be so that they can grow in their relationship with Jesus as well as with other kids and caring adults. Our hope is to empower parents and families to anchor the everyday faith of kids to what Jesus said and did, and to equip our kids to live out their faith as a part of the body of Christ.
Please fill out our Family Registration Form so that we can better serve you.
SUNDAYS IN FIRESIDE KIDS
(10:00AM SERVICE)
Families should head over to our Kids Check In table when they arrive, and our toddlers and preschoolers can go straight to their rooms from check in. We invite our K-5th grade kids to join their parents in our opening worship time and then head out to Fireside Kids after that.
ENGAGE WITH WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE LEARNING!
OUR STRATEGY
Our Fireside Kids strategy combines the two primary influences that impact a kid's life–the family and the church–to build an authentic faith in the life of each child. We want every child that comes through our doors to have the opportunity to encounter Jesus. We also want to empower our parents to walk alongside their kids in their faith journey

WE BREAK THIS DOWN UNIQUELY AT EACH STAGE
IN THE PRESCHOOL YEARS
A child will form their first impression of God's love, so our preschoolers will focus on three basic truths:
1. GOD MADE ME
2. GOD LOVES ME
3. JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER
IN THE ELEMENTARY YEARS
A child will grow in wisdom, faith and friendship, so our elementary kids will focus on these three basic truths:
1. I NEED TO MAKE THE WISE CHOICE
2. I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT
3. I CAN TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WANT TO BE TREATED

CHILD DEDICATION
Child Dedication is a way for us to come together as a community around the life of a child. For parents, it represents the decision to surrender their child to God for his purpose and to commit to helping them know Jesus and follow him. For our church community, it signifies our commitment to walk alongside the child and the parents--to pray for them and support them as they point their kids to Jesus.
If you are interested in dedicating your child, please click on "register" to provide us with your information.
FAQ'S
How do we check in our kids?
Our family check-in table is near the front entrance. When you arrive, visit the table to check your kids in. If this is your first time visiting, you can register them ahead of time here. When you check your kid(s) in, you will receive a parent tag as well as a name tag for each child you check in. The name tag is placed on your child, and the parent tag is to be kept with you until the end of the gathering. For security purposes, you will need the parent tag in order to check your child out of Fireside Kids. If this tag is lost, you will need to see the Fireside Kids Team member at the check-in table after the gathering in order to have another one printed.

What age groups do you have programming for?
Our toddler room is for kids who are walking up through age 3.5, our preschool room is for preschoolers age 3.5-5, and our elementary groups are for K-5th grade.

Do you provide a snack?
Our toddler room serves veggie straws and water as a snack option (GF/DF). Please let our team know if your child has any allergies or restrictions at check-in.

What is the morning program like?
The morning includes time for worship, an age-specific story time from Scripture, crafts and games!

Do you require background checks for volunteers?
Yes, all of our kids team members complete a full background check prior to serving.

Are parents allowed to stay with their kids during the program?
Our kids spaces are limited to scheduled volunteers only (due to our background check requirement). If your child has a special need that requires you to be with them, please speak to the Fireside Kids Director when you arrive.

How will you contact me if my child has a need during the program?
If for any reason we need to get a hold of you throughout the morning, we will do so by text message to the phone number used to check in your child that morning. If we cannot get a hold of you via text, we will send a team member to look for you in the sanctuary.

How do we check our kids out?
At the end of the service, please make your way to the classroom you dropped off your child in and present your parent tag to one of the leaders who will check that the code on your tag matches the code on the child tag before releasing your child to you. Please note that we allow our 4th and 5th graders to dismiss independently (no parent pick up) unless otherwise requested.

Is there a space for nursing?
If you need a private space for nursing, there is a quieter space in the Fireplace Room. A diaper changing station is also available outside the bathroom.

Who can I talk with about my questions?
Each Sunday we have a Fireside Kids Director that is ready to answer any questions you have--just ask for them when you drop off or pick-up! You can also email Kate Bauer at kate@firesidechurch.org during the week.
